Abused as a child…..by my television!
Jan 12th, 2008 by adminsteve

Let’s be honest we have all been touched by television at some point.

Oooh! :-)

Hot on the heels of the Captain Pugwash incident, could be the title of an expose film, there comes a new shocking television news story.

Not enough time has passed since Keith Chegwin stole my innocence, lets face it there needs to be a lot of time and therapy after watching him cavort nude upon my television set. I still shudder at the thought. Who new the Multi-Coloured Swap Shop was so deep blue!

I was browsing the web, trying to re-capture some of my lost childhood when I remembered a lovable cartoon character that I can embarrassingly kind of do the voice for, oh the shame (hopes he doesn’t have to do it in public!), the name of it, the New Schmoo!

I remember it being sandwiched between Captain Caveman (You have to shout it!) and the Teen Angels and that other high quality cartoon Goober and The Ghost Chasers.

Now back then it all appeared like innocent fun as an amorphous blob jiggled and laughed and acted all cute, well thats how I REMEMBER it but then a pic pops up on my screen and it all changes.

Does this look like an amorphous innocent blob or have I indeed been abused by my television set? Does it look like a….well, take a look…..
The New Schmoo

Oh, one last thing….

….i’m telling mommy!

:-)
